Tour Delaware's Seaport                 


Driving tours of the Port of Wilmington, Delaware are available free of charge for groups of 10 individuals or more! 

What is there to see at the Port? 

The Port is America’s #1 gateway for imports of fresh fruit, juice concentrates and palletized meat imports, and is the busiest on the Delaware River. It owns and operates North America’s largest on-dock cold storage facility and is a major distribution hub for various commodities. Visitors can learn about the Port’s history and development, international trade, maritime logistics and economic impact on Delaware and the region. Teachers can relate the tour to their history, geography, and business curriculum.

Time: One-hour tour. Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. Visits are most popular on Mondays and Tuesdays, when Dole Fresh Fruit Company or Chiquita Fresh North America vessels dock at the Port.
